Associate - FICC, Municipal Credit Support

Municipal Credit Support Associate:

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the end-to-end credit management process supporting the Public Sector Banking line of business.  Associate will manage a moderate to complex credit portfolio, ensuring overall adherence to Credit, Regulatory and Procedural Policies and Guidelines, and an understanding of these guidelines as they relate to the Municipal Banking business.

Associate will partner with Credit Products, Finance, Client Management, Operations Teams and our clients in managing credit origination/renewal and ongoing credit monitoring and servicing.  Acting as primary liaison between all parties, the associate will facilitate the closing and renewal of commercial credit, which includes coordination of approvals, review of legal documentation, engagement of business partners, and monitoring credit compliance.  Credit compliance monitoring includes the resolution of documentation and collateral exceptions, and timely follow-up of monitoring activities to ensure accurate assessment of operational and credit risk. 

Associate works directly with clients to ensure the timely collection of all required financial information, as well as, the resolution of documentation, collateral, and past due exceptions, and resolution of credit servicing issues. Ensures data integrity in primary systems; Global Monitoring System, LoanIQ, Electronic Data Repository, and Global Underwriting System. Delivers practical innovative solutions to clients and business partners.  Demonstrate the ability to balance portfolio management along with participation in work-groups. Successfully manages multiple priorities with minimal supervision or oversight.

  • Strong product and process knowledge
  • Strong Microsoft-based computer application skills (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

Desired Skills:

  • College degree in Finance or related field
  • Portfolio management, loan servicing and support experience
  • Knowledge of credit from Commercial Line of Business
  • Familiar with financial statements as it relates to the approval of commercial  loans
  • Familiar with interpretation of legal documentation in support of commercial  loans
  • Knowledge of Municipal Banking Credit Products
