Job Description:

Model Development team members possess the skills needed to translate the Bank’s risks into models. They are able to produce professional research, evaluate data, conceptualize mathematical frameworks, and build robust code that reflects those frameworks. They are also able to thoroughly document the models they have built and present those models, regardless of complexity, to a wide range of stakeholder

Responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics and complex modeling projects. Leads efforts in development of new models, analytic processes or system approaches. Creates documentation for all activities and may work with technology staff in design of any system to run models developed. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and are able to influence strategic direction, as well as develop tactical plans.

Required and desired skills/qualificati

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an analytical role (e.g., quantitative model developer) with a Masters or PhD in an analytical field.
•Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven ability to exert broad influence among peers.
•Track record of understanding the broad, conceptual picture with an ability to develop new techniques and methodologies, when necessary.
•Data management experience including sourcing, wrangling, analysis, and visualization.
•Practical experience with current modeling and data science principals including but not limited to time-series analysis, machine learning, and deep learning.
•Experience with the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) including maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review changes.
•Ability collaborate with and influence technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
•Ability to communicate findings and insights to executive audiences.
•Strong understanding of at least one object-oriented programming language with familiarity with the following languages: Python, R, and SQL.
•Professional experience with the following database tools: Hadoop, Teradata, Exadata (Oracle).
•Experience and understanding of loan and lease products for commercial clients.
•Experience with project management activities as part of large and complex development initiatives.
•Professional experience with the following software / tools: Tableau, JIRA, LaTex, Alteryx.
