Director-Regulatory Strategy and Implementation Team, Global Corporate and Investment Banking COO Team

Job Description:

The Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) Regulatory Strategy and Implementation team is responsible for overseeing the regulatory change pipeline, performing regulatory change impact assessments, initiating/directing regulatory implementation programs, and facilitating ongoing adherence to applicable laws, rules, and regulations (LRRs) and internal Policies and Standards.   In this capacity, the candidate will partner closely with representatives from all GCIB product areas and with numerous support partners including Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of regulatory programs from end-to-end and will possess strong analytical skills and detail orientation, the ability to build consensus across distributed stakeholder groups, and demonstrated experience initiating and driving programs.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing portfolio of regulatory programs from end-to-end, including conducting impact assessments and building out initiative roadmaps

  • Coordinate across GCIB product areas to ensure consistent approaches to new regulatory requirements

  • Escalate issues where required and have ability to influence across the first and second line

Competencies and Requirements

  • 10+ years of exposure to financial markets/products, preferably with exposure to Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, or Treasury Services

  • Program/project management experience with demonstrated ability to build project roadmaps, influence stakeholders. and take ownership for delivery

  • Takes initiative and demonstrates a focused desire to understand requirements and drive/implement improvements

  • Strategic thinker and execution minded

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with poise to communicate with senior leaders

  • Ability to positively influence others, regardless of seniority, in order to achieve results

  • Able to adapt to changing business/regulatory environments

  • Excellent time management skills and able to manage multiple competing/concurrent activities

  • Must be able to work well in collaborative team environment, but also independently
