USCC Portfolio Management Strategy Analyst

Job Description:

The US Credit Card Core Portfolio Account Management Strategy Analyst will be involved in managing account management strategies for the US Card portfolio. 

The primary responsibilities will include:

  • Documentation of models and spreadsheets used in Account Management strategies for risk, audit, and regulatory audiences.
  • Analysis and testing of models to inform model use within Account Management strategies

The analyst will assist with management of models, spreadsheets, and other tools, maintaining compliance with the Enterprise Model Risk Management framework, and using statistical analysis to ensure that the models and tools are used effectively by the line of business.  They will work closely with business partners to share risk data, communicate strategy changes, and drive business transformation. 

Strong analytical skills are required.  The analyst will be manipulating large data sets using SQL and SAS, with planned transition to Python and Hadoop. 

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication, including strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, finance or a related quantitative field
  • 2+ years experience using database software such as SAS, SQL, Python, or Hadoop to access large relational databases
  • Strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience with Model Risk Management framework desirable
  • Previous Credit experience and knowledge of Credit policies and procedures is desirable
  • Previous experience in developing credit risk strategies or models
  • Analytic work experience in support of consumer or small business lending involving the use of credit bureau information
