Sr Data Analyst

Job Description:

Part of a team that is responsible for the adoption of and adherence to internal enterprise data management policies and standards (i.e.: the Enterprise Data Management and Global Records Management), governance and oversight of Global Banking’s incident management process, support of external regulatory exams/issues and support of internal/external data testing efforts.  The team performs an enterprise function covering all of Global Banking and Enterprise Credit and has responsibilities related to the governance of credit data; communicating and coordinating the impacts of enterprise data priorities; and monitoring the health of Global Banking data.

This position, within the Analytics & Information Strategy (A&IS) team, requires close working relationships with teams internal to Analytics & Information Strategy, Technology support partners, other business Data Management teams, Global Banking Operations and Credit Process teams, Enterprise Data Management, Audit/Compliance, etc., as well as subject matter expertise in various aspects of data and data management.  This role will support all forms of data testing of Global Banking data requested by both external (regulators) and internal (Audit, Control partners) parties. 

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Procurement of appropriate credit source documents (i.e. credit agreements, credit approval documents, etc.) from applicable repositories (i.e. EDR)

• QA of the credit source documents

• Support the request and QA of appropriate source documents from other accountable parties

• Support the remediation of any data issues identified as part of data testing activities

• Support any automation and process improvements specific to the A&IS testing process

*Required Skills: “Must” have these skills to be minimally qualified.

• 5+ years of experience in financial services in business analyst or delivery-based role

• 3+ years Wholesale Credit experience, including underwriting experience and/or familiarity with Wholesale Credit policies and procedures

• Familiarity with Wholesale Credit systems (e.g. GUS, LIQ, CreditCenter, EDR)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Strong Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) experience and general understanding of data relationships

• Proven ability to work with technical and non-technical business teams

• Self-starter; strong sense of ownership & ability to create and execute plans without daily oversight

• Highly organized; able to effectively prioritize and balance multiple efforts in a fast-paced, regulatory driven environment

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
