Assistant Vice President, HK FICC Trade Support

Job Description:

The Hong Kong FICC Trade Control team support multiple aspects of post execution trade services for the HK FICC Trading desk. They also support aspects of Lifecycle Management, funding management and provide various other general desk support activities including query management. This role requires an SME with strong Trade Support foundational knowledge to provide onshore supervisory oversight of the regional trade control function performed in India, be the primary onshore escalation point for the business and work on adhoc regional projects/initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Onshore point of contact/esclation for the FICC Flow business covering Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore
∙ Running multiple supervisory routines covering the offshore Trade Control team performing BAU tasks
∙ Managing Key initiatives for flow trade control including New Product Reviews, Reg Reporting and other adhoc global/regional initiatives.
∙ Point of contact for internal/external auditors as and when necessary
∙ Able to step in and cover BAU if necessary should coverage be required

Key Requirements

At least 6 years experience in a Trade Support or equivalent Middle Office role
∙ Team supervisory experience would be beneficial
∙ Firm understand of FICC products including IRS, Bonds, TRS, CCS
∙ Very strong communication skills able to own and manage relationships with multiple levels of stakeholder up to and including Desk Heads.
∙ Degree qualification is essential
∙ Proficiency in MS Product Suite i.e. Excel, Word etc. is a must
∙ Bloomberg/Reuters knowledge/experience is preferred
∙ Fast learner with open minded thinking, strong communication, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
∙ Positive working attitude: diligence, resilience, calm and ability to manage stakeholder expectations
