Job Description: Senior Content Strategist (Production Design)

Design Operations is a multi-functional team that provides cross-organization support that enables our partners to operate at maximum value and effectiveness. This foundational team provides Design Program Management, Design Technology, and Production Design services. Design Ops is obsessed with asking “why do we do this?” and driving for breakthrough improvements in the pursuit of world-class operational excellence.

As part of Design Operations, the Production Design team ensures our design is executed to the highest quality across product initiatives. PD optimizes XD resource usage by dedicating a team to ongoing maintenance and streamlined projects that apply standard designs. This team enables other portfolios to focus on strategic initiatives that require research, concepts, and intensive review/approval processes.

We’re looking for a talented content designer/content strategist to create user-centered experiences for our digital portfolio of web, app and email communications. You’ll deliver content under tight deadlines, leveraging our brand and style standards to deliver best-in-class user experiences for our customers. You’ll work on multiple projects at one time, using your strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately while you think strategically about the overall experience.

Required skills

  • 8+ years of writing/editing experience including 2+ years in a lead or senior role
  • An ability to create and evolve concepts in a collaborative environment through team and stakeholder reviews; an ability to bring new ideas to the table
  • Experience delivering detailed copy decks, including edge cases, versioning and metadata
  • Flawless grammar and syntax; ability to balance brand tone and voice with user-focused conversational tone of voice
  • A high level of knowledge of user-centered design principles, standards and best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Mac and PC

  • Are a self-starter with solid organization skills; you can juggle priorities and pivot quickly when requirements, priorities or schedules change
  • Actively engage at all points of the product lifecycle, from concept creation to launch
  • Think beyond individual design and project requirements to see the bigger picture – how your work ties into the larger ecosystem, brand voice and platform strategy 
  • Collaborate effectively to get things done, building and nurturing strong relationships
  • Are comfortable using design, documentation and communication tools like Sketch, InVision, Jira, Mattermost and Webex
  • Are exceptional at problem-solving, issue resolution, and time management

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a writing-related discipline
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working with documentation and design tools like Jira, Confluence, Sketch and InVision
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • An understanding of basic web and app design and development, including HTML
  • Financial or similar industry experience
