PMO Governance Lead - Core Technology Infrastructure

This is a PMO Governance Lead role, responsible for planning and execution of Governance across Programs and Projects in CTI COO PMO.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Defines and documents PMO Governance and operating model within the framework of Enterprise Change Policies.

  • Facilitates bi-weekly Program and Project Governance with Project Managers, Program Managers, Change Executives, and other stakeholders.

  • Reviews Program and Projects change controls on a bi-weekly basis to ensure Programs and Projects are within the triple constraints (Scope, Schedule, Budget).

  • Reviews Program and Projects tollgates on a bi-weekly basis.

  • Create well-organized, structured plan to move forward with next phases in lifecycle.

  • Prepares Project and Program managers (PMs) for Bi-weekly Governance meetings.

  • Identifies and reviews vertical, horizontal, and cross dependencies between Projects and Program changes to ensure proper mitigation strategies are in place.

  • Mentors and guides PMs with various strategies, best practices to mitigate Project risks and unplanned changes as they come.

  • Enables and coach PMs so they have ability to leverage Project controls at right time for successful delivery of Projects and Programs.

  • Sets and continually manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Communicates PMO Governance expectations and policies to various PMO team members and other stakeholders.

  • Develops and delivers Governance reports, proposals, and presentations on a regular basis.

  • Maintains PMO Governance SharePoint site with Bi-weekly agenda, minutes, Governance schedule and decisions.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS:

  • 8-10+ years of combined Technology, Program and Project Management experience in an Enterprise environment.

  • Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence is required

  • Experience with Agile/Waterfall Methodologies, Enterprise Change Standards for Programs, and projects SDLC, Waterfall, Agile (PPRT management, deliverables and tollgates for both programs and projects).

  • Knowledge of ITIL and Service Lifecycle Management

  • Intermediate - Advanced MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

  • Previous track record of successfully managing multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle.

  • Results-oriented individual who can develop and manage relationships based on trust, teamwork, and knowledge.

  • Data analysis skills and ability to create executive quality materials within tight timeframes with limited direction from management.

  • Ability to connect dots and articulate clear and concise status and action plans to resolve issues and risks and at the right level of detail for the audience.

  • Ability to confidently lead meetings and discussions to drive program and project deliverables and resolve issues and challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

•PMP certification a plus

• Proficient with standard tools such as PPRT, PMMT, PCM is a plus

• Agile, SAFe or Scrum awareness.

• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, organizational skills and the ability to deliver across levels.

• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty.

• Budgeting, cost control, and risk management experience.
