Data Scientist, CTI - Digital Solutions & Automation Services

Job Description:

Infrastructure Information Services is looking for top talent to bring Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence capabilities to our Hadoop Architecture.

The Data Scientist will innovate and transform the landscape for the Technology Infrastructure organization, while following industry best practices and providing capability maturity in support of Data Science framework.  In addition, possess the interpersonal and business acumen to start a business function will low maturity into one that is competent with a track record for success. The ideal candidate is an expert in building against use cases that will deliver decisions based on data. Ability to describe, analyze and visualize data using cutting edge technologies, as well as describing complex technical information to non- technical professionals. Candidate must be highly skilled in all aspect of end to end machine learning modeling. Candidate needs to be able to understand macro level requirements and convert them into actionable tasks to deliver a technically sound product. Candidate should be able to work in teams in a collaborative manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Key lead for team in all machine learning use cases requiring data science expertise driving virtual teams as needed
  • Development on tools such as Jupyter, H2O, R Studio, VS Code, Alteryx, Trifacta
  • Data preparation from RDBMS, Apache Hive, Apache HBase
  • Model training using Python libraries and deep learning frameworks
  • Model promotion for model execution using Spark, Rapids, FlinkML

Required Job Skills:

  • 5+ years of total IT experience
  • At least 3 years in Data Science role, building predictive algorithms and data products ideally related to business and IT technical operations
  • Accomplished implementation of machine learning techniques and algorithms such as unsupervised learning (e.g. clustering) supervised learning (e.g. linear & logistic regression, k-means, clustering etc.)
  • Excellent programming experience in Python using libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Scipy, Scikit-Learn and deep learning frameworks like Keras, TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Exposure to Relational Database Management Systems using Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Ability to work against mid-level design documentation, take it to a low-level design, and deliver a solution that meets the success criteria
