Risk & Governance Program Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Product Manager will contribute to the overall Product compliance and operational risk oversight in alignment with the Compliance and Operational Risk Management Program.  Execute Product specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide Standards.  Supports the implementation of QA / QC processes within Product through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls.  Work with Product leaders to mitigate and remediate risk, balancing business strategy with appropriate controls. Builds out action plans and milestones.  Acts as an ambassador of the risk culture.  Mentors teammates.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Determining and reporting on the health of the Product Risk & Governance environment
Overseeing the identification and maintenance of high risk processes in the Process, Risk & Control Inventory
Contributing to compliance and operational risk assessments
Identifying aggregating, reporting and escalating compliance and operational risks, issues and control enhancements
Assisting in the execution of governance and management routines
Creating policies to ensure they reflect regulatory and operational requirements for the Product team
Identifying compliance and operational risk training needs and provide subject matter expertise to support development of training curriculum,
Assist in preparing for regulatory exams and audits
Supporting the development and maintenance of key risk indicator metrics

Skills and Experience Required:

8+ years of operational risk experience required

Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills

Candidates will need to be able to work across the Enterprise to complete their responsibilities and will regularly engage with Product risk teams, Payments risk teams, and FLU teams

Detailed understanding of the payments industry

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Demonstrated effective communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills

Effective planning, prioritization and time management acumen

Strong problem-solving skills

Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible

Demonstrated knowledge of MS office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)

Desired Experience:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent industry-related experience.

5 or more years of industry-related experience within Payments

OCC experience in Audits
