Monitoring Automation Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

The Operational Intelligence team seeks a strong monitoring automation engineer for Splunk and potentially other monitoring tools, performing engineering, operational support and automation activities.

Interact with technology groups as needed to collect the requirements, user sign-off, etc.

Develop solutions for given use cases using appropriate technologies

Required Skills

5+ years development or devOps experience using programming language like Java/Python/PERL/Windows scripts

Hands on exposure to shell scripting

Experience with Unix/Linux or Windows System Administration

Experience with monitoring tools such as  Splunk, SiteScope, Dynatrace, AppDynamics  or others

Thorough knowledge of Regular Expressions

Desired Skills

Deployment tools such as Puppet, Chef, BladeLogic or AutoSys

Database - SQL or NO SQL

Exposure to basic statistics and applications helpful

Desired qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or  Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

Database e.g. SQL or NO SQL
