Training

As a new Financial Advisor, you will participate in a three-year training program called Practice Management Development Program (PMDP), which includes training, coaching and assessment. PMDP has a tailored curriculum designed to help you develop a strong foundation of the critical wealth management skills and knowledge necessary for acquiring affluent clients, enhancing relationships and providing tailored solutions.

The first stage of PMDP is a preproduction period devoted to earning the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, acquiring applicable knowledge and skills and becoming acclimated to the industry. You will become familiar with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management products and services and wealth management processes and tools.

In the next stage, you will perform against quarterly business hurdles, complete training requirements and receive continued local coaching support. PMDP offers a competitive base salary as you earn your licenses. The PMDP is supported extensively through:

  • Ready to use training modules accessible at home and at work via our web-based learning site
  • Local workshops led by PMDP mentors or coaches who assist in business plan reviews and client meetings
