Global Banking & Markets
Global Banking & Markets (GBAM) includes Corporate and Investment Banking, Sales and Trading. The group provides services to middle-market and large corporations, government entities and institutional investors including mergers and acquisition advice, equity and debt capital raising, corporate lending, global transaction services, sales and trading in fixed income, commodities, currency and equities, risk management, research, and liquidity and payments management.
Corporate Credit and Transaction Banking
With a footprint comprising 21 countries and more than 90-years of legacy in EMEA, Bank of America Merrill Lynch is a long-established Corporate Credit and Transaction Banking provider to corporates, financial and non-bank financial institutions across the region.

Global Technology & Operations EMEA (EMEA T&O)
EMEA T&O is responsible for delivering end-to-end technology and operations to all lines of business across the region.
EMEA T&O consists of about 5,000 employees and contractors working in 15 countries. These professionals primarily support the Bank of America Merrill Lynch businesses that serve the region’s corporate and institutional clients, including Corporate and Investment Banking, Global Markets, and Corporate Credit and Transaction Banking. They also fulfill company needs for technology infrastructure, risk and data management, and information security.

Chief Operating Officer
The GT&O Chief Operating Officer (COO) organisation manages core, integrated functions and shared services on behalf of the GT&O business and the broader Enterprise. Our COO team manages GT&O policy governance, control programme execution, performance measurement and reporting, vendor sourcing, selection, contract negotiation and internal controls; as well as COO business management. Additionally, the team manages Bank of America’s global business continuity and disaster recovery, identification and assessment of key risks and controls, regulatory issues and exams, and risk analytics and reporting.
Enterprise Chief Information Officer
The Enterprise Chief Information Officer (ECIO) organisation is responsible for the management and delivery of critical Enterprise functions including Global Information Security, Data Management, Enterprise Change Management and Governance and Divestitures, and oversight of the company’s Enterprise control functions, including Finance, Global Risk, Global Human Resources, Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Treasury, Corporate Investments, Legal, Audit and Security.
Global Information Security
The Global Information Security team is responsible for information security strategy, policy and program. This includes managing and operating a global security operations centre and developing, deploying and managing a risk-based controls portfolio.
Global Markets and Risk Technology & Operations
Global Markets and Risk Technology & Operations provides end-to-end technology solutions and operations support for the Global Markets businesses including Equity, Electronic Trading, Rates & Currencies, Credit & Structured Products, Commodities, Research, Sales and Capital Markets. In addition, this group is responsible for establishing an Architecture and Strategy framework for consistency across the Global Markets platforms.
Quartz is revolutionizing the way Global Markets does business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Quartz will become the single platform for pricing trades, managing positions, and computing risk exposure. It is a part of a multi-year effort to build a cross-asset, front-to-back risk and trading system.
Thousands of developers are using the platform to deliver applications to thousands of end users. As a part of the Quartz team, you will contribute to the technology that will define the future of our business. You will work with a cutting-edge, massive-scale, highly-agile technology stack, including:

Global Markets Operations and Middle Office
The Global Markets Operations and Middle Office team provides controlled and cost effective post trade processes in support of our businesses.
Core functions include:
- Post trade confirmation, settlement and client services processes
- Assurance over data and processes used to record risk, Profit & Loss, balance sheet and financial results
The organisation comprises two operating groups: Global Markets Operations and Global Middle Office. A change management team is responsible for the successful execution of prioritised change initiatives.
Global Markets Operations core processes include confirmation, settlement, clearing and reconciliation processes.
Global Middle Office processes include trade capture validation, risk and Profit & Loss control, balance sheet control and front- to-back office oversight.
The organisational infrastructure has been designed to ensure global consistency of processes with strong global and local supervision.
Corporate Staff & Support
Corporate Audit is a global team responsible for providing independent assessments of business activities across the company. The group supports how we manage risk by ensuring that controls over key risks are in place and functioning correctly. Corporate Audit also makes recommendations to management in support of the company’s strategies and business objectives. The team reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors to maintain independence.

Global Corporate Strategy & Development
Global Corporate Strategy & Development researches and recommends potential strategic acquisitions and divestitures and other business opportunities for the corporation.
Corporate Treasury is responsible for providing world-class management of the company's interest rate and liquidity risks using a state-of-the-art framework for balancing the tradeoffs between risk and return. Treasury's primary responsibilities include funding the company's balance sheet, forecasting net interest income, managing relationships with rating agencies and fixed income investors, and analyzing interest rate and liquidity risks.
Enterprise Capital Management
Enterprise Capital Management (ECM) is responsible for leading capital management across the company. This centralized team helps to ensure efficient and proactive management of economic and regulatory capital. The team works closely with other organizations at the bank including Risk, Technology, Finance, Treasury and the lines of business to ensure the appropriate level of governance to help define and execute the bank's capital management strategy.
Corporate Workplace is responsible for 125 million square feet of bank-owned space and occupies facilities in 45 countries worldwide. The team provides secure workspaces and delivers strategic real estate solutions that complement the line of business and enterprise business objectives.
Corporate Investments manages the company's discretionary portfolio and interest rate risk.
Investor Relations is the contact for analysts and investors and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive investor relations program designed to keep the financial community current on company performance and industry trends.
