Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Employee Networks are bank-supported groups made up of employees who share a common dimension of diversity, along with others who support them. Employee Networks form around race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, parental status and veteran status.
In 2012, through Employee Networks around the world, more than 60,000 employees connected and participated in networking opportunities, mentoring programs, information forums and various volunteer events. Many members also served in leadership roles and led initiatives for recruiting, client development and community partnerships.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch's diversity and inclusion efforts are led by CEO Brian Moynihan, who chairs the Global Diversity & Inclusion Council, comprised of senior executives from across Bank of America Merrill Lynch. This governing body partners closely with the Global Diversity & Inclusion Organization to develop diversity and inclusion strategy for our businesses and regions, recruit and retain diverse talent, and manage our diversity sponsorships and strategic alliances.
