Quality & Productivity (Q&P) is the division within Bank of America that partners with the lines of business to apply quality, Six Sigma, & Change Management tools and methods to improve business performance. Q&P works with businesses to identify and improve high-impact, end-to-end processes and focus on key enterprise priorities such as customer delight, expense reduction, revenue growth, risk mitigation, change initiatives and process and/or product quality and speed. Six Sigma, Change and Project Management, Process Excellence, Lean and Management by Fact are the primary tools used to execute improvement activities across the company. Since its introduction in 2001, quality has become an integral part of our culture, creating significant improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of key processes with accelerated results and driving cost savings, customer delight and revenue.
Overview
Quality and Productivity Change Analyst Interns will participate in a program that is designed to foster teamwork, networking and accelerated development. Intern responsibilities include:
Broad exposure to lines of business by working closely with business executives to effectively lead, train, and coach quality activities that will achieve breakthrough productivity and customer satisfaction improvements
Driving projects with large scope & accountability to success by leading and coaching projects and acting as a subject matter expert
Providing detailed, fact-based analysis of business practices, processes and systems to accelerate improvements in product/process performance
Championing new initiatives and acting as a catalyst for change to help lead innovative product/process development
Supporting the deployment of Quality & Productivity capabilities and toolsets to facilitate improvements in the design, development, and implementation of project deliverables
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a strong undergraduate record and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Candidates must be able to handle multiple, concurrent assignments and possess strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should maintain a high level of motivation and self-direction, and demonstrate a desire to learn about technology and the financial services industry. In addition, candidates should demonstrate strong organization, critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with effective written and verbal communication skills. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills are preferred.
Training
The Internship program integrates business critical assignments, experiential learning and formal on-boarding. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in structured performance management and networking events. Interns will receive exposure to Six Sigma methodology and project management.
