We are primarily organized into industry/product teams focused on specific sectors. Focus industries are: Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Financial Institutions, Financial Sponsors, Global Industries, Healthcare, Technology, Media & Telecom, Natural Resources and Real Estate and Gaming. Integrated within each industry team are M&A specialists.

Our product origination specialists work closely with industry bankers and sales and trading to develop creative solutions for our clients. We set ourselves apart by delivering innovative ideas and strategies, advanced technology and objective, timely analysis covering a large universe of companies, industries, products and geographies.
In Europe the company is extending long-term relationships with clients and providing them with integrated business solutions. This is done by capitalising on Bank of America's strong balance sheet, debt and equity product expertise and M&A capabilities in targeted areas that leverage the bank’s U.S. strengths. Bank of America is committed to building its investment banking businesses in Europe methodically and in specific areas where the company can attain a leadership position and/or fulfill its global clients’ needs.
Overview
As a summer intern you will become an active team member in a focused industry or product group, working with analysts helping to orchestrate capital raising and strategic advisory transactions. Analysts are called on to:
Develop and maintain financial models
Support various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences
Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research
Prepare presentation and other materials for clients
Participate in due diligence sessions
Communicate and interact with deal team members
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, strategic and creative thinking and written and oral communications skills. In addition you must be realistically expecting to obtain a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent. Underlying all this, you must demonstrate dedication to a career in investment banking.
Training
Bank of America’s summer analyst programme is the ideal opportunity to gain an introduction into the world of investment banking. The 10-week programme kicks off with an induction week covering core skills before you hit your desk where you will work along side our fulltime associates. Throughout the summer, as well as receiving support from your line manager, HR and a buddy, you will also experience a number of social and educational events giving you a great insight into Bank of America. If you perform well over the summer, you may go back to university with a job offer for the following year enabling you to truly focus on your studies.
