Overview:
This programme is for you if you are pursuing a doctoral degree with a quantitative focus and you have an interest in working in the financial services industry. We offer a variety of opportunities for final year doctoral students who have high-level mathematical skills and the desire to use them in a fast-paced, demanding business environment.
You will find that your academic background in research and quantitative analysis is applicable to real world problems in several business areas, particularly Global Markets. The combination of highly quantitative work and an intense level of interaction with colleagues will create a unique professional challenge and career path for you.

Qualifications:
- Excellent degree/PhD in a mathematical or financial discipline
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong quantitative background
- Ability to think creatively
- Familiarity with programming

Training:
We offer a bespoke development programme unique to our quantitative hires which runs throughout the year. A modular based approach is used to develop skills and behaviors required to succeed in your role and to further progress your career.
The program includes:
- Strategic overview of the bank, focusing on the debt and equity businesses
- Sessions covering topics including how to add value through your seat and communicating with impact
- Opportunities to interact and network with peers
- A mentoring program
