Championing the Success of Women

The mission of our internal Women’s Leadership Network is to promote professional development at Bank of America Merchant Services through advocacy, networking, education, information sharing and mentoring. Our goal is to attract, advance and retain women professionals and champion their success.

The Women’s Leadership Network is supported by a national council, regional chapters and ambassadors, and program chairs. While the network’s members are predominantly women, its innovative programs are open to all Bank of America Merchant Services associates.

Employing and Supporting Veterans

Bank of America Merchant Services recognizes and honors the unique leadership abilities, experiences, talents and perspectives military men and women can bring to our organization. We take great pride in employing veterans, members of the National Guard of the United States and the Reserve, as well as military family members.

This commitment starts with Tim Tynan, our chief executive officer. He said: “Bank of America Merchant Services has a strong commitment to the men and women who serve – or have served – in the armed forces. The company continues to focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining veterans and National Guard and Reserve personnel because of their unique skill sets and strong leadership abilities.”

We employ a veterans program director who works to recruit and hire those who have and still serve their country. Military Guardsmen, Reservists, veterans and military spouses have access to a variety of resources that position them for success, including an affinity group and a paid time-off military leave policy.

“When looking for a company to work for after humbly serving this great nation in the U.S. Army, I had a few things that I wanted an employer to have,” said one associate vice president and business consultant, also a U.S. Army veteran. “First and foremost I wanted a company that would acknowledge veterans and always support them. I wanted a company that would look to them for leadership, discipline, dedication, and to utilize all the skills that the military taught me so that I could apply those skills to empower myself and those around me.”
